Dear Parents and Friends

Welcome to the last term of the year.  Hopefully this will be a term of increasingly fine and warm weather.  Anyway there is much to look forward to.

Staffing

This term, Mrs Joanna Bennett will not be working on Fridays.  We are pleased that Mrs Cherry Wallace-Mapp has agreed to pick up this day.

Sunhats/Footwear

Sunhats, when children are outdoors, are compulsory for Terms 4 and 1.  Please ensure that your child's hat is clearly named.  We also like the children to have footwear every day in case we go out walking.

Trip For Morning Children

Mrs Duncan has invited us to visit their farm in Omanawa, where we can see their animals and enjoy a picnic.  We have decided to combine this trip with a visit to Mossop's Honey Shoppe in Tauriko.  This will take place on Tuesday 21st October (Postponement date Thursday 23rd October).  We will travel by bus and there will be space for some parents.  Please indicate on the return slip if you would like to accompany us.  The bus will leave at 8.45am, so ensure your prompt arrival at Kindergarten.  The children will be back by the end of session.  The cost will be $4.00 per child travelling on the bus (including $1.00 entry fee to Mossop's), and $3.00 per accompanying adult (Babies free).

Swimming

Our swimming programme for the afternoon children normally starts this term and continues through to Term 1.  We plan to begin this in week 6, after the athletic sports, if the weather is warm enough.  We will be asking for parent helpers, so you may want to consider this.
