Dear Parents and Friends
We are now well settled into term 4. Our morning children had an enjoyable trip to Mossops Honey Shoppe and Sunhats/Footwear
Sunhats, when children are outdoors, are compulsory for Terms 4 and 1. Please ensure that your child's hat is clearly named. We also like the children to have footwear every day in case we go out walking. Athletics for afternoon children
We have now started athletics with our afternoon children. Our days on the field will be Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please ensure your child has appropriate clothing and footwear on these days. (It is very difficult to run and jump in jandals, loose shoes, or long flowing skirts!) Our combined Junior Athletics Day will be on Friday 14th November, starting at 1.00 p.m. You are invited to join us to support and encourage your child. Swimming
The date the pool will become available for swimming has not yet been confirmed, but the permission/parent help slip is attached to this newsletter to assist our planning. We understand that parents may not be able to assist for a number of reasons e.g. younger siblings or work commitments. Please return the slip, however, as we need written permission for all children. The start date is not likely to be before Week 6. Dress up Day
On Tuesday 4th November we are having a Letterland dress-up day. Please talk about this with your child and choose a character. (Note: It must be a character from Letterland.) There is no expectancy of elaborate costumes. The idea is to bring attention to our literacy programme and provoke discussion. Please ask for a sheet of characters if this will help you. Gala
Just a reminder that our Campus Gala in on Friday 31st October. Tickets need to be purchased through the school office. The Fireworks are spectacular and the cake stall is always a great success. Think about coming along! Enjoy your long weekend! The next "stop" is the end of the year! Blessings from all of us Marion Vukona on behalf of Sue, Nikki, Joanna, Cherry, Irene and Pam Return slip for afternoon swimming Child's Name: Phone: I do/do not give permission for my child to participate in the Kindergarten swimming programme.
